  • Chapter 47: The Three Trials

This entry is part 47 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

When I opened my eyes, Maular was staring at me. I turned to the left and saw the other three looking at a path that led through the mountains, but beside the path, a burning fire was visible. If someone were to fall from the path, they would not survive. I found it a little weird that someone would build a path through the mountains with both sides on fire. My shirt inside my blazer was completely red; I looked down at the watch, which only had five hours left. I must have slept for a while when we landed. I could feel in my body that the blood had dried from some of the injuries, which had stopped the bleeding, but that feeling like infection is on its way will only make the pain even worse. Dried blood isn’t exactly something to lean on, as the injuries can easily reopen.

“I…I no longer take you.” Maular said

“Why not? Can’t you fly over the mountains and drop us by the village?” I asked him.

“He can not do such a thing; there is a barrier over the mountain. If he were to pass it, the three trials of his life would start, and we would fall from the sky to our death.” The Mage commented, whom I still haven’t asked what her name is.

“What does that really mean?” I asked

“It means that the trials would show the death, sorrows, and suffering of dragons to Maular, something too dangerous for anyone to see, even suffering from all sides is shown in the trials, without the one responsible for it even knowing the damage done to the other side. That is why the landing was here. He cannot go further because there are dragon watchers; if we keep flying, they will kill us because of the princess.”

Why does everything we do end up in bad news? Walking on spikes sounds like an even better idea than trying to walk to the other side. We need to keep moving, though.

“Okay, We will walk on the bridge of path shit with both sides burning in flames not even close to the wall of the mountains.”

It made me wonder how the girl knew so much when the golden dragon, speaking weirdly, just sat there silent. I got up slowly from the ground to avoid reopening any wounds and walked to the Maular, who started to walk away from me.

“I will be back,” I told the three before following the dragon, which had distanced itself from the group.

When we were at a short distance, he told me:

“Be…Carful! Someteng is camin for yu soon?

I didn’t get what he meant by that, but I do remember the words in the beginning when we arrived here by the demon to get rid of Jacqueline and Fierna. Does the dragon know something?

“Who or what should I be careful of?” I asked him to be more precise.

“I do nut knaw, I can onli feel it!”

Well, Maular wasn’t a jokester with any evil intentions except that he doesn’t like Rieven. I should rethink the choices I have after I hopefully recover.

“I leave!” Maular uttered and flew up into the sky without even looking back at us with appreciation. Well, it’s 1-1 on helping each other out, so I can’t complain about that.

After watching the sky for a minute, I noticed someone from a distance wearing a black cloak; it looked like they were looking at me, but there was no reaction. I turned around and walked back to the other ones, but turned around to look at the black cloak, but whatever it was had disappeared into thin air. I joined the group, and we walked up the two meters of stairs that led to the bridge, which had flames burning on the sides. It did get a little warmer on our path as we kept walking, as I had hoped nothing would happen on the other side.

After walking for a couple of minutes with the Mage helping me out as support, the fire on the sides turned red, and a human-shaped figure climbed up from the fire in flames with a big line of fire behind it blocking our path.

“It had been a long time since someone tried to pass the walking path. All I have encountered is the death of dragons that have passed the wall above the mountains, but to get someone to pass the path of their own will is something that makes me very interested. I want to welcome you to the Trials of Olronig. My name is Olronig, the Demon Ruler of the Right or Wrong of suffering.” The figure uttered.

Even if it doesn’t have a face at all, because it is completely in flames, it felt in the air that the Olronig might be smiling right now.

“Eh! Olronig, what exactly is it that you want to do in the trials of right or wrong?” I asked it.

It walked up close to me, and I had to back away as Olronig suddenly stopped and said:

“The trials are meant for my amusement of seeing others suffer and, in a slow manner, die in front of me. Nobody who has traveled over the bridge has ever been able to travel through it, as they die on the first attempt.”

I looked down at my watch; 20 minutes had passed for nothing, and we needed to hurry on our way, as every minute was vital.

“Okay! Sounds like a fun trial. So what do we have to do?” I asked it to get this crap over with.

“Oh! Someone feels that it has to hurry to the other side. The leader of the pack will have to conduct the first trial, and then the second trial will begin immediately after you have made a decision. The third trial is something else that I will not mention until you pass through both trials. What you see in the trial is not possible to change, as it has already happened. You will see the happenings of things you only see in your nightmares.” Olronig and a snap of a finger echoed in the air as everything became black, and suddenly we were in the middle of the streets of The Old City in the center of Stockholm.

Killeh and Rieven looked around in awe as humans walked past us in the night.

“Where are we?” The Mage asked.

“Well, we are in the old city in Sweden, Stockholm, we are in the human world where no creatures in the darkness exist,” I responded.

  • Chapter 46: Maular, The Golden Dragon!

This entry is part 46 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

I coughed, realizing it was blood dripping down from my lips. I looked up, seeing the mage girl looking terrified as the old Daemon was dead in her arms. Killeh rushed to him and started squealing, making quick movements back and forth as he tried to shake the lifeless body of the Daemon, but there was no response, and the mage girl tried to calm Killeh down, but he was restless and just kept moving around.

    “Killeh!” I said.

He looked at me with tears in his eyes. I shook my head without saying a word, as he understood that it was pointless to try to wake the old Daemon; he was dead.

“Meh!” Rieven uttered as she closed in on Killeh and scrubbed the back of her head towards Killeh’s body. I hadn’t thought about it, but Rieven’s body had changed; she now looked like a small dinosaur. Not round and fat, she could walk on four legs now instead of the round balloon we had seen earlier.

“You have lost a lot of blood while you bonded and coughed up several times, creating a blood pool in front of you, Zark!” The Mage uttered.

I looked at her, smiling with closed eyes, as I remembered my sister Sandra, knowing this was the last thing I would do in my life. I opened my eyes and looked down at the clock, which said I still had eight hours to live, but I knew it was impossible to make it. Slowly, I got up from the ground and coldly told the Mage:

“Leave the body of the Daemon here, we can not take it with us, as it will slow us down.”

“But Zark, it is…” I interrupted her with a quick response, “Leave it!”

She laid it on the ground as Rieven tried to soothe Killeh, but Killeh just stressed, realizing that we would leave the Daemon behind. He grabbed my legs, but I pushed him away. I can’t risk everyone’s lives carrying around a dead body with us. I opened the door as the three of them followed me. Killeh kept looking back at the Daemon, tears not stopping from his face, as I grabbed him and pushed him through the door, time being of the essence right now.

When we emerged into the darkness with no light in sight, I looked up and noticed the Maular’s head peeking down from above. I was going to whistle, but Rieven looked up and shot a big blue cannonball towards the top, making the Maular move away for a bit to avoid getting hit. The alarm went off several levels above, of course, because it didn’t look normal for a big blue fireball to be just getting pushed upwards to the top without any apparent reason. Maular started to descend slowly from the top, but we needed to go further up and help out, as enemies would probably see the dragon and attack.

“Go up the stairs, we need to go up as far as possible,” I told them as we moved, with me ending up behind because of the pain that slowed me down.

They quickly ended up on the next floor as I heard a strange sound and tried to move more rapidly up the stairs. I threw the chain at the exact moment a red lizard was swinging an axe towards the Mage, and pulled it towards me as it fell down the stairs. I moved to the side to avoid it rolling over me.

“Keep moving upwards!” I told them, as I came up to the bridge, that three Lizards came towards me. With a whip-like movement, the chain curled around the leg on the front, and I pulled it to the left, making it hit the other two; all three fell to the lower level. I followed up to the next level, noticing we had to cross the bridge, and saw a big blue fire engulfing the whole bridge as five red lizards had changed color to black and suddenly turned to dust. Has Rieven gotten more dangerous suddenly?

Three of them moved quickly up one more floor when fire covered the bridge, as Maular had arrived on the bridge, waiting for us. We came up on the bridge, as the alarm bells on the levels above continued to sound without stopping. Maular prepared itself as the Mage went up on its back, and Rieven and Killeh jumped up on the girl. I knew I couldn’t fit, and the Maular wouldn’t even be able to ascend to the top if I tried going up on the back. Both of us looked at each other and knew what we had to do. He started to ascend with them as a large number of red Lizards came from both sides of the bridge. It looked like most of the Lizards had gone down the stairs to this level to try and stop the dragon, but were greeted only by me. Blood soaked in the chain, with me only needed to keep the Lizards occupied until Maular reached the top.

I stood on the side so I could see both sides at the same time, waiting for an attack to come while the screams of ‘MEH’ and ‘KILLEH’ kept echoing in the air as the brats didn’t stop yelling after me. From the right, a Lizard leapt towards me, and I threw the bloody chain low as it curled around its leg. I pulled to the left with full force, making it fly to the left side and hitting several Lizards, but not all of them fell from the bridge. It was so painful that I went down on my knees, and it was pointless even to fight. The moment had come; I was either going to fall from this bridge or get stabbed to death. I looked around and saw the lizards coming up close to me, and it seemed as though they were laughing. I was dangling on the edge, and suddenly something shone up and blocked my view when I leaned backwards, and everything turned black.

I have to be dead now. I could feel the breeze passing through me. Did I get forgiven and end up in heaven? Heaven sounds so good, and I think I’ll feel a little bit refreshed from the wind.

“MEH!” Rieven’s voice echoed in my head.

Does it mean that I can feel the ones I have bonded with in the afterlife?

    “KILLEH!”

Well, maybe not bond with everyone. Why is the scream so loud?

“ZARK!” A girl’s scream echoed around me.

Why do they harass me in heaven like this? At least give me some peace.

My eyes opened as I saw the red sky, and someone was holding my left arm. I looked up and saw the three of them sitting on the dragon, with me dangling in the air, and I could fall at any moment. The three of them looked as though they were using all their strength to keep me safe as I gazed out at the desert landscape, with mountains covered in red. Maular turned his head, looking at me.

“A…M-M-Master should not die!” He said.

I understand what he meant, but I am going to die anyway, and they are risking their lives to try and save mine may be pointless if I die of my injuries anyway.

  • Chapter 45: Portal Escape!

This entry is part 45 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

Killeh jumped high, and Rieven went with a low kick toward Victoria, who released the rope into five threads and swung it towards Killeh’s left leg, where it wrapped around and caught in pink flames. With a simple pull move, Rieven threw Killeh into the air to the right. At the same time, Rieven tried kicking Victoria’s right knee. Still, with Victoria’s speed, she was too fast. Lifting her leg above her head, doing a downward kick towards Rieven, who barely managed to pull her leg back, not wanting to risk it getting broken, as Victoria’s leg is probably stronger than a simple blow from an elbow. Rieven quickly crawled away from Victoria to Killeh, who was beside Zark, who was still unconscious. They turned their gaze towards each other again and then looked at Victoria. Rieven nodded to Killeh as he understood that they needed another tactic called…Escape, which Zark had used with Killeh when they stole the egg in the dungeon earlier. He threw up Zark on his shoulder and released the chain from him. Rieven at least had a weapon now and needed to pave the way for Killeh to run towards the Portal. Victoria walked towards them when she saw Zark on Killeh’s shoulder, worried that they would take him away. Rieven rushed towards Victoria while Rieven threw the chain that had caught fire. Victoria countered with the burning pink threads, and both sides became entangled with each other. Both of them closed in and made a round kick toward each other, canceling out their kicks. Killeh ran from the side, ignoring the battle, and quickly came outside the building. He jumped up in the air, landing right on the roof of a car, and kept jumping to get further away. He just wanted to come as close to the Portal as possible, with Zark dangling left and right on his back. Berk saw him and slowly got up from the ground, starting to try to run, but because he was groggy, it looked more like he was swaying left and right, like two brown mushrooms the size of a human being, looking at him as he struggled to control himself.

“Hey, Bob!” The mushroom on the right said.

“Yeah, Rob!” Bob, who was on the left, responded.

“You didn’t happen to have sold the experimenting small mushroom battle spell to the Van Polan organization, did you? We could get arrested if it were to come out that we sell battle spells on the side, which have a distinct mushroom smell. Nobody would believe that we sell them outside of Paladin, but the Mage organization would hunt us down together with the support of the Van Polan.” Rob commented, a little bit worried.

Bob turned his whole body towards Rob. He was disappointed in Rob’s comment. He would never sell their spell to good people, only criminals in Valiant who pay high prices.

“I do not think that is any spell at all. I think that is something called…Human Behaviour!” Bob commented with a sense of surprise in his voice, as it was the first time he had seen the thing…Human Behaviour.

Rob turned to Bob in shock when silence took over while Berk was fumbling around on the ground, trying to get some balance back.

“Woah…!” Both Rob and Bob said at the same time, surprised by this thing called…Human Behaviour!

Berk managed to get his head under control and started to run after Killeh, who was not hard to spot as he was big and red and was jumping up in the air.

Victoria glanced to the left and saw Berk starting to run after the big red one. The black flames on the chain went out, and it released itself from the threads that were still burning intensely on the ground. Rieven knew that she was in a bad situation, but it was necessary to try and get their Master to the Portal. While both had some distance between them, Victoria’s eyes turned back to blue color, which Rieven had noticed. Victoria clenched her right fist, turning the threads into a whip, which had some reach now. Rieven made a couple of movements with her hands and ended up with a pose resembling the yin-and-yang symbol, which surprised Veronica. It looked like the style she had taught the Van Polan boys, but she was not sure, while Rieven only thought about using one of her Master styles combined with the idiot who had unhinged movements.

“You think that fighting style will beat me?” Victoria asked.

Rieven closed her eyes with a big smile before responding:

    “Meh!”

Both rushed toward each other as Victoria bent her right arm backward and struck the whip with a straight line from above. Rieven rolled quickly to the side as a big line of destruction hit the floor. Rieven tried to throw the chain, which forced Veronica to grab it with her left hand. Rieven pulled herself with the help of the chain towards Veronica, who had to release her whip as Rieven came in with a knee towards her. Veronica bent her upper body slightly to the right, releasing the chain, grabbing Rieven’s left calve, and throwing her in the same movement, not realizing she had just thrown the girl out from the broken window. Rieven used her left hand and made a somersault with her left hand on the ground as she pulled the chain towards her as it curled around her right wrist. Both looked at each other for a second before Rieven started to run for her life in the direction of the Portal and slid over the trunk of a car with a smile because it was fun to do. She ran to the other side of the road as Veronica pursued her but was interrupted by a vehicle that hit the brakes at the last second, just a couple of centimeters from Veronica. An angry light green Goblin came out from the driving seat and screamed:

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING, CRAZY WITCH, RUNNING ON THE ROAD? WHY DON’T YOU USE ONE OF YOUR WOODEN MOPPING STICKS TO FLY INSTEAD OF DISTURBING OTHER CITIZENS WHO ARE DOING SOMETHING USEFUL HERE IN PALADIN?”

Veronica gave the Goblin a look, which made it clear that this was not the moment to even talk to her. He realized his mistake and slowly got back into the driver’s seat, then closed the door. Victoria returned to the chase of Rieven, who had gotten some distance from her.

“I THOUGHT SO WITCH, RUNNING AWAY SCARED OF THE GOBLINS. NEXT TIME I WILL BEAT YOUR ASS!” The Goblin kept yelling in the car, with his wife in the backseat holding a baby, just shaking her head at her husband’s idiotic behavior.

Berk noticed that the big red one turned to the left onto a road that went into the woods, and a big jump from the red one made the distance even further away between them, but he was not going to give up and upped his speed a little bit even though it would affect his energy if a battle would occur.

Rieven went full throttle, running on the road with the great shoes that she had gotten from the Witch earlier as her distance became further and further away from Veronica, who was trying to catch up. She noticed Killeh jump up in the air, and she could see that the boy was chasing Killeh when Veronica screamed in the air to get Berks’s attention, as he turned around, seeing Rieven running towards him at full speed, and the chain suddenly got roped around his waist. Rieven made a hard pull as he flew right above her head, with the chain releasing itself from Berk as he flew towards Veronica, who stopped to grab him as both of them rolled around on the ground. Veronica had no choice but to stop as Berk came flying very fast and would hurt himself if she wouldn’t intercept him. Berk’s head was right on top of her big melons, with them in a missionary position, with him on top.

“Idiot!” Veronica uttered before pushing Berk to the side, as he looked like he was dreaming of Heaven because he had hit three melons, which probably would never happen again in his life.

She started to run in the direction where the girl had gone, but she was no longer in sight, and she could have also gone into the woods, which made the chase pointless. Veronica thought that at least running slower would get her attention if a pathway led into the woods.

Rieven had caught up to Killeh, who had stopped jumping after losing sight of the boy, as it could attract attention from somewhere else. He was happy that Rieven had caught up to them as they passed the woman’s cabin, with them waving towards them as they rushed ahead, leading into the woods following the light. When they arrived at the Portal, it was shining, and Killeh threw Zark through it, quickly following with Rieven. As she entered, she looked around to see that nobody was following them, knowing that the bonding was now complete. They are the servants of their Master now, and she was also happy that Killeh had conquered the trust and bonded with the Master. She knew that Killeh’s transformation was a result of his attempt to protect them, and that was all the beliefs needed to create the bond, protect the citizens, protect the family, and protect everyone from Evil. The beliefs of their Master…Zark Van Polan.

  • Chapter 44: Big Horns

This entry is part 44 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

A big aura surrounded Veronica, with a circle of pink and black flames burning around her and an immense wind coming from below, causing her hair to rise in the air. Berk was a little surprised by the hair, as it was always in good condition and straight as if she were maybe going on a date after dinner. Now, it looked messy, as if she had received an electric shock or something. While he backed away further to distance himself, several Witches suddenly got pulled to the floor and pressed hard as the floor cracked. Rieven, Killeh, and Zark were not affected the same way; all three of them were standing fine on the floor, but one blonde Witch on the ground started to scream in what Berk understood was pain. Berk knew that this situation was dangerous as innocent lives could be at stake, and it seemed that Veronica had lost control of her powers. So, he ran towards the circle towards Veronica, but he suddenly started to float in the air, passing above her. He managed to grab her hair and pulled himself down behind her, and he quickly grabbed a chokehold. The circle with fire distinguished, and Veronica, startled, bent forward a little when Rieven, Killeh, and Zark stared at them, surprised, because Berk had also wrapped his legs around Veronica so that she couldn’t bend all the way forward.

“Eh Berk! Why do you keep doing the chokehold in a perfect position? I mean, the circle is gone, and the Witches seem fine, but you are still holding…like hard.” Zark told him.

Berk tried to think for a moment about what Zark meant regarding the chokehold, as the intention was to de-escalate the situation. Victoria stood back up straight with Berk still holding on, and she elbowed him on the stomach as his grip on her quickly loosened up as he backed away two steps, and she kicked him right through the third window of the ground floor making him pass out on the ground outside.

“YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE NEXT ZARK!” Veronica yelled.

Zark pointed towards Rieven and Killeh, responding:

“W-W-What! I am not with them. I am totally innocent, Victoria. You know how responsible I am. I would never cause any trouble compared to Berk, and there is no reason to get upset. Jia Hao only cried a little bit. I mean, there was a cracking sound on his shin. It should be all right with some treatment.”

“What did you say? What happened to his shin!”

Zark kept pointing at Rieven and said:

“It was her, I promise you. We would never hurt Jia Hao! It was the one with big boobs!” As he held up both his arms in an attempt to move away from the area towards the stairs, Rieven threw the chain at his right leg, grabbing him, and with a swift move towards herself, Zark got dragged several meters, ending up in front of both of them. Veronica’s aura got bigger, and Rieven knew that they needed to beat her to even get out of there with Zark. Killeh hit Zark on the head, and he just passed out in an instant with some blood on his forehead. Killeh shrugged his shoulder as Rieven gave him an angry stare as he was not careful in his hits. She released the chain from her wrist and began to move toward Victoria, who placed her right palm on the ground, causing a strong wind to descend from above, pushing everyone to the floor with extreme pressure. Rieven noticed that her movement slowed as she approached Veronica. Killeh was on all fours, his stomach pressed against the ground, with only two fingers moving.

“Sha teh mu La FAN!” Veronica screamed out, making the pressure even worse.

Rieven came up close to Victoria as her body slowly bent forward, but Rieven’s leg was bending back as a strong wind pushed through Victoria. She removed her palm from the ground as Rieven’s movement suddenly came in full force, making Victoria quickly jump back, but the wind from the lower kick dragged her outside of the building through the broken windows. She went back into the building, and Rieven tried a round kick, which Veronica easily dodged. In the same movement, she struck Rieven with her elbow, hitting her other leg and causing her to fly a couple of meters before landing on her stomach. Rieven was in pain but tried to hide it, and Veronica knew this because the girl’s movements were too obvious. It had immense power but no coordination at all in its movements, as if she was still learning how to fight.

Killeh rushed and broke the leg of another table, so he had two sticks as Rieven needed some time to recover. He ran towards Victoria to prevent her from moving forward towards Rieven, and his two sticks suddenly burst into flames. His smaller two horns above his head also started to burn as he jumped up in the air, making Veronica back away because the aura on the little demon had changed. Killeh hit the floor, not even close to Veronica. The hit was so hard that the ground cracked around them; a mist surrounded the little demon as Veronica tried to get a view, but the fog was too big. Two large circles inside the fog burned with a black color as the aura grew significantly larger. Veronica backed away a couple of more steps as her right hand five fingers released threads that quickly got bound together to form a black rope. She sensed great danger inside the fog because the aura had gotten even bigger.

“ALL WITCHES HERE, YOU HAVE TO MOVE UPSTAIRS TO THE OTHER FLOOR AS THIS WILL BECOME EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!” She screamed to her staff as they quickly scattered.

Two black horns appeared above the fog, and a loud, screeching sound echoed through the air, like a hurt animal screaming out to their herd. Veronica ducked down as two sticks came flying towards her upper body, which made her realize the situation was even worse. Her rope became longer as something huge red color jumped out of the fog, high above the ground, surrounded by black flames. It had both fists tucked together, and Veronica rolled to the side as the floor was hit with a big hole created in the aftermatch, surprising her with the immense power. A red-colored, demi-human-like figure, approximately two and a half meters tall, with muscles everywhere, and ugly black hair with burning horns and black eyes, looked at her and made the screeching sound again in the air. She knew evil had visited their front porch. It tried to punch her, but she quickly pulled up the rope in flames as it stopped the impact of the hit completely, and she put her palm on the chest of big Killeh and said:

“Jon ta ruh!” She clenched her hand into a fist and made a quick hit without even using too much energy as Killeh flew into the sofas, breaking everything on his way.

Rieven got up, touching her knee, and tried to stretch out her leg to check if she could still move swiftly, which she almost could. She couldn’t move it as fast as before, but she could still feel a lot of strength when she tried kicking it in the air. She moved to the sofas to check on Killeh, who looked a little grumpy but started to shine and smile when he noticed that Rieven looked all right. She helped the big Killeh get up from the ground. Both of them stared at Victoria, who relaxed her shoulder and threw the blazer away, prepared for a big battle. Rieven and Killeh looked at each other, then at Veronica, who was ready for battle.

    “Meh!” Rieven uttered.

“KILL…AH!” Killeh screamed out in the air as both rushed toward Veronica.

  • Chapter 43: Crashing!

This entry is part 43 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

Everyone looked at the flames on the chain as it suddenly extinguished. Rieven quickly pulled it back with force, making Berk, whose hand was tangled in the chain, fall to the floor. Killeh thought he had an easy opponent this time when Jia Hao took a step forward and made a quick round kick, causing Killeh to fly and hit the wall. He tried to get up quickly and kicked him as if he were a football, sending the kid flying several meters away. Killeh was surprised because the kid had no aura at all around him. It was just a weak human. Rieven ran into the Apartment with Zark quickly approaching and trying to give her a box, which she easily dodged. A counter from her with a weak slap at Zark, which she thought would make him ready to get kidnapped, but she hit too hard, so he passed out on the floor. Berk tried to kick her left knee from the floor, but he was not fast enough, as Rieven pulled her leg back; the kick just missed. She tried stamping on him, but he rolled backward on the floor. Rieven moved quickly after him when she made a round kick but missed when he ducked down and countered with an uppercut, which missed by just a centimeter when Rieven bent her upper body slightly back. She tried to counter with a down kick but missed as damn Berk’s movements were unhinged, which made Rieven annoyed. Berk backed two steps back, not realizing he was by the windows. Rieven made a quick two-step with her feet before giving Berk a straight kick to the chest. He managed to get both his hands up and the chain caught on fire, releasing black flames right before the hit. She realized the window was broken, and she pulled the chain to stop the fall and drag him up again.

Berk flew right through the windows on the floor under when Fanny was eating her donut, making the sauce destroy her shirt, with two buttons gone. Her new bra from Tiffany’s Secret Sexy Witch caught Berk’s attention.

“It looks like you are okay, Fanny! By the way, some sauce is on its way between your chest. Just as a moment between us, you know, it’s called bonding between humans. I didn’t know you had those big jugs. Are you competing against Veronica?” Berk asked with a smile.

Fanny, overwhelmed over the disturbance of her peaceful moment, gets angry about the disturbance the Van Polan boys have created again.

“I AM GOING TO KILL YOU BERK VAN POLAN!” She screamed out in the air.

Berk got dragged back towards the window, and Fanny noticed now the chain around his hand, and she grabbed his other hand before it slipped, and with full force, he got dragged out in the air again, dangling in the air when he shouted to her:

“SOUND THE BIG ALARM AND GET VICTORIA!”

Jia Hao jumped into the air with the help of the sofa and tried kicking Rieven in the face but was blocked by a high kick, using as little strength as possible. Still, Jia Hao fell to the floor and started to cry because of the pain in his right shin on his leg, as it possibly cracked when it connected. She ignored the kid as he was out of the battle when Killeh came in yelling, noticing that Rieven had already beaten the kid he wanted revenge on.

“Meh!” She told Killeh, indicating that he is sloppy for not taking the battle more seriously.

Zark woke up behind the sofa and saw Jia Hao on the ground, and when he tried to move towards them, Killeh threw his stick and hit his head as he passed out again, making Rieven slightly worried that he may have killed their Master. He turned to Rieven, shrugged his shoulder, and said:

    “Kill…Eh!”

Riven pushed her leg forward and made a hard pull with full strength, which caused the chain movements to go upwards, making her think that she might have used too much strength. Berk flew right up, and the damn girl must have pulled it weirdly as he crashed through the window on the floor above the Apartment. He opened his eyes, realizing that his head was on something cushy. He could see two mountain tops with colors similar to human skin. It took a moment before the mountain began to tremble slightly, and his vision cleared. It was massive jugs. He lifted his head, seeing the grey-haired Sentia Sandom, who was the first lieutenant in the organization, and Victoria’s right arm. He was on her stomach as her hair was wet, and he noticed she was naked on the bed with her massive jugs that were the mountain he had seen a moment ago. Berk knew he was in heaven right now, and he looked down to see that her hair was white down there, which was a weird combination. He lifted his head above her jugs and saw that her breath was not in sync, and her cheeks were red. Then, idiot Berk realized he had come crashing through the window when she had her towel on after a shower. Berk pulled away quickly, realizing that she would beat his ass on training, and he stood by the windows when she slowly got up, covering her jugs with her arm, and when she turned her head up, her eyes had switched to red color.

“I am going to kill you now, Berk! Nobody can do anything about it. The end of your life has come!” Sentia said as her hair slowly floated in the air and the electricity in the room started to flicker.

Berk knew it was bad, like getting killed by mistake bad. He pulled the chain as he would rather be hanging in the air than being in the same room as Sentia right now. Suddenly, a hard pull threw him out of the windows as a bolt of grey lightning missed his body barely, and when he was going down, he got pulled hard right into the Apartment, flying right at the wall with Killeh taking most of the hit as he was in the way which Rieven had missed. He felt a little bit groggy from the hit while Killeh had passed out, and Rieven realized her mistake. The chain had become loose from Berk, and at last, Rieven was relieved that the chain had released itself from the mystery man. She lifted Zark on her shoulder and threw Killeh up on him while she started to move outside the Apartment when white bolts of electricity surrounded the elevator. Suddenly, Sentia came through the door that led to the stairs. The electricity from the elevator followed her as she moved toward Rieven, and she quickly noticed the hostile aura approaching her. She dropped Zark to the ground with Killeh on top and moved forward toward Sentia. When they meet up, both make a high kick toward each other while blocking each other, standing still with their legs up in the air as the tension mounts between them. An alarm started to echo through the corridor, making Sentia bend her head slightly, seeing Zark on the ground, unconscious. Rieven looked down at Sentia, who was wearing only thongs and a bra. Rieven thought maybe the thong was some kind of weapon, like her pants, which had helped her with the flexibility of something called movement. Both released each other’s block and tried to execute a round kick but blocked each other’s kick again as they took a step back to devise a plan. The white electricity covering the corridor behind Sentia looked problematic for Rieven as they could not run from this, with two of them unconscious. One thing she did have confidence in was that her Master’s powers and technique were now inside the human body, thanks to the strong bond. With her dragon strength, this should not be a problem. As a princess, she thought she deserved some respect, but everyone seemed to be focused on playing battle, which was not in line with her Master’s beliefs. However, she has no choice but to protect herself. Rieven was not intimidated by the electricity, but the sound echoing in the air was annoying her because it continued without stopping. Both looked at each other and, with a quick move forward from Sentia, made Rieven switch and make a right foot forward and then left step with her going far down, touching her hand in the ground and making a spinning hook kick in 90 degrees knocking Sentia out cold who only got slightly in contact with Rieven, but everything went so fast, and Rievens weird movement from right to left caught her off guard. She lifted Zark again on her shoulder with Killeh on top and started to walk to the elevator with Berk stumbling out from the Apartment, seeing Sentia completely knocked out. Rieven kept tapping the button as the doors opened. Berk rushed towards her as Zark woke up, and when the doors were closing in, he jumped into the elevator, hitting Rieven. She knew she couldn’t kick this annoying human in the elevator because his movements were unhinged when fighting, and if she hit her Master by mistake, she might kill him. Rieven tried to grab Berk by the throat, but he was slippery, moving around quickly. When Killeh woke up, he was about to jump on Berk’s head, but someone grabbed his leg in mid-air. Zark slammed him on the floor in the elevator and used a choking grip from behind as Rieven bent forward to try and get loose, with Zark using one of his legs at the wall until a sound was heard. Everyone stopped except for Rieven, who hit Berks’s leg as he fell on the floor and, with her left hand, threw him out from the elevator as he slid several meters on the floor. When Berk lifted his head, Veronica stood in front of him, the silence having taken over the entrance area. Berk slowly got up, smiling at Veronica, and said:

“I have to admit! I have done worse things than this. We both know I’ve done crazier assignments!” Berk said, trying to laugh it off.

Victoria bent her head slightly and looked at Zark and Rieven in the elevator before responding:

    “You mean that!”

Berk turned around and jumped slightly, seeing Zark in a doggy-style choking position on Rieven.

He turned slowly back to Victoria, knowing it would go completely crazy. The Witches on the floor all grabbed hold of something as they knew what was going to happen.

“You two morons were supposed to babysit my son. I see both of you here at the entrance, but I do not see my son anywhere. When I heard the alarm had gone off, I found out that the Van Polan household had been attacked. How do you think I will react as a Mother?”

Zark quickly released Rieven and hugged a nearby pillar. Rieven and Killeh emerged from the elevator, realizing that it was the white-haired lady who had given her the shoes earlier.

Veronica blinked once, and her left eye turned black; she blinked again, and her right eye turned red. Berk backed away from Victoria as the ground and things around them started to shake, and he realized that she was charging up to go full power on them for leaving her son alone when an attack had happened to their household.

  • Chapter 42: ELEVATOR FIGHT!

This entry is part 42 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

It was silent in the elevator as Rieven checked her left side, and Killeh checked the right side to see where the first moment was. Rieven noticed the girl left behind her moved with a fist from behind, and she slightly moved her head to the side as the arm passed by her shoulder, so she grabbed it. The woman on the upper left hit Rieven on the face and let it hit with Killeh also getting punched. Killeh flew right at the face of the lady down right as she broke her nose with blood dripping now in the elevator. Rieven gave the lady with the punch a knee hit on the stomach and then stretched her leg in the other direction, pushing the one on the upper right to the wall with Rievens foot at her throat. It was quiet for a second before one behind Rieven fell to the ground as Killeh made a grabbling exceptional hook hold on her leg and leaned his body as she hit the floor fast, passing out. Rieven checked the mirror with a quick movement behind her, and she released the grip as the other three in front of her slowly recovered. She leaned her back towards the one bleeding from the nose and made a back head bump, making her nose unrecognizable. There were two down and three left now. All three attacked at the same time as she tried to dodge. Still, it was too many hits toward Rieven, so she had a hard time blocking all the hits from punches and kicks. Killeh, who did not want to be left out, climbed up on one the woman in the middle from behind and kicked her in the right side of the face, making the burden lesser on Rieven when he suddenly screamed out in the air:

“KILLEH!” and the light on the ceiling suddenly blacked out, and Killeh jumped around at high speed in the elevator, hitting the two women all over their bodies with every impact he jumped again, even if he hit something, he only needed one foot to make the jump again and again until the elevator was completely silent with the lamp in the ceiling suddenly start flickering.

Rieven had gone down in a crouching position and her head buried in her arms as she had a feeling Killeh would do something stupid.

    “Killeh!”

Rieven peeked through her arms and saw Killeh smiling, his eyes looking more blue than ever. She got up from the ground and tried to open the elevator door, but it wouldn’t move. Killeh grabbed his stick on the ground and kept pressing several buttons with it. Still, nothing happened. Rieven remembered that the button had changed to a different color when they tried to open the elevator door before. There was one button that shone a red color, and Rieven kept tapping until the light went out, and number six on the buttons was shining. The elevator was moving again, and after a couple of seconds, it stopped with both doors opening. Half of the body of one of the Witches fell on the floor, blocking the elevator door from closing.

Both of them stepped out, realizing a reception to the right with a girl just staring at them, no threat level. Killeh sniffed the air again, trying to find their master. It was hard to pinpoint as he picked up the scent from the walls; maybe the master had been on this floor before. Both started to jog forward down the hallway until they could only turn left. When they moved a bit, they came to several conference rooms to the left, which had glass walls. They stared at Rieven and Killeh when, suddenly, one Witch moved towards the glass door. Killeh quickly got up on Rievens shoulder and took two quick steps forward before turning her body 360 degrees and making a side spin kick through the door, hitting the Witch on the chest. Killeh jumped onto the wall at the exact moment and flew by Rieven as she hit the chest, and he followed up with a sidekick to the Witch’s head, causing her to pass out instantly. The other two Witches held up their hands in the air, while other conference rooms with Witches just stared with their hands up as well. One with white hair and a blouse kept staring at Rieven as her aura was slowly getting bigger until Rieven screamed at her:

    “MEH!”

The Witch knew in an instant that she should not try to piss Rieven off. She calmed down as Rieven and Killeh continued down the corridor until it was one more left turn with a wall in the way, and they kept going. They were met again with a left turn. They ran until they ended up at the reception area once more, with the elevator door making a sound as it kept trying to close, blocked by a body. They moved inside the elevator but noticed the door refused to close, so they went back to the reception area to confront the girl, and both of them pointed to the elevator door. The girl came out from behind the desk, noticing the body blocking the way, and both of them looked uneasy in her eyes. So, she pointed towards the door with stairs. They opened the door, and the girl pointed downwards with purpose as civilians lived on the seventh and eighth floors, with the ninth being the office of the boss. Killeh became suspicious of the girl when she pointed down, and he quickly hushed her out the door, with Rieven scratching her head, not following what he was trying to do. He pointed up to Rieven, and they both moved up to the next floor and passed through the door, taking a look around. It looked like this floor was also going around in a circle, but Killeh sniffed the floor and pointed out that they should go through the corridor to the right, as he could smell that their master was close. They moved down the corridor until Killeh suddenly stopped at the fifth door and sniffed at it. Rieven helped him and lifted him so he could smell the whole door. He suddenly stopped and turned around, his face serious. They had found their master at last. Now, they only needed to get him to the portal.

Rieven tried to rip the door open from the handle, and they pushed the door in hopes that it would open until Killeh noticed a button on the side. He kept tapping it with the stick, producing a strange sound that came from the other side of the door. Both of them had high hopes and were brimming with happiness at the prospect of reconnecting with their master until the door opened, and it was not their master.

“Eh, Hej! Vem söker ni? (Eh, Hi! Who are you looking for?)” The boy asked them.

Rieven and Killeh looked at each other, confused.

“Vem plingade på dörren Jia Hao? (Who pressed the doorbell, Jia Hao?)” A voice from inside was heard when, suddenly, the door widened, and a younger version of their master stood before them, trying to adjust the tie.

Both their eyes lit up when they saw their master, and they started to jump up and down while Zark looked at the bouncing tits of the girl with horns blended in the blue hair, and she was not wearing any brah, which made the whole situation awkward.

“Har Farbror Berk beställt någonting från Paladin marknadsplats websida? mamma kommer döda honom om han gjort det igen! (Has uncle Berk ordered something from Paladin marketplace website? mom will kill him if he has done it again?) Jia Hao asked his uncle Zark.

Zark took a deep breath before screaming:

“BERK! HAR DU BESTÄLLT DU VET VAD IGEN FRÅN INTERNET?(BERK, HAVE YOU ORDERED AGAIN YOU KNOW WHAT FROM THE INTERNET?)

“FUCK ELLER, VERONICA SKULLE DÖDA MIG MED TANKE PÅ ATT JIA HAO ÄR HÄR.(FUCK NO, VERONICA WOULD KILL ME AS JIA HAO IS HERE.) Responded from somewhere behind them without Rieven and Killeh seeing anyone inside.

Zark was still suspicious, as Berk was used to taking risks all the time; maybe he didn’t consider that the hookers and toy squishy devil diaper would show up today. It would be a new low if Berk decided to lose his virginity to a hooker…with horns.

“Meh!” “Killeh!” both of them uttered after each other, making the whole situation look even weirder.

“Jag orkar inte med sånt här idag, har möte om en timme kring en Anaconda som gått lös två städer bort.”(I cant handle this today, have a meeting in one hour about a Anaconda that has gotten loose two Towns away.” Zark said and started to walk away.

Rieven and Killeh realized that something was wrong, and if their master wouldn’t go with them, they had to grab him. Rieven loosened the chain, took a step forward inside the apartment, and swung the chain towards Zark. Suddenly, an arm reached out, grabbing the chain behind a wall, and a young man came forth with a little bit lighter brown hair. He looked like a young version of their master. Grey flames lit up the chain as it moved toward Rieven, and she released it from her hand to avoid catching fire.

“VEM FAN I HELVETE ATTACKERAR FAMILJEN VAN POLAN! ÖNSKAR DU ATT DÖ ELLER? (WHO THE FUCK DARES ATTACKING THE FAMILY VAN POLAN! DO YOU WISH TO DIE OR WHAT?)” The young man screamed out to them.

Both of them noticed that this one may be a problem. The one that their master had screamed at earlier by the name Berk, both of them wondered why the chain reacted to him and lit up in an instant. Both of them were curious about Berk Van Polan as his aura lit up in an instant, the biggest one they had seen so far. Was he a Demon King?

  • Chapter 41: Tall Building

This entry is part 41 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

Rieven and Killeh reached the end of the woods and saw the straight road. They looked at the road in awe, as it seemed even better than the one they had walked on earlier. A tire rolled slowly on the road, and they walked by the side, their heads turning as they were surprised to see something black with metal rolling on the ground. Then, they stopped after following the tire for a while when they saw several food stands, and the box with tires continued to move forward. They were shocked by the crowd and the variety of different species gathered in the same place.

Killeh started to run towards one of the food stands because of hunger. Rieven followed him when a green goblin in a cloak was making some soup with big chunks of something orange color. Killeh started to drool, but Rieven didn’t like the smell as much as he did.

“You want some soup, one small box for five randid, three for ten randid. It is a great deal, as you get one for free if you buy two soups!” The goblin uttered with a murky voice.

Of course, they didn’t understand the goblin, but Rieven grabbed Killehs hand and dragged him a couple of stands away as she could smell something delicious. A large building nearby also caught their attention, as it was the tallest structure they had ever seen. They stood in front of a food stand with a man who was a little bit chubby with a thick mustache, and he was shouting in the air:

“KHABAB! COME AND GET KHABAB WITH BREAD! YOU CAN NOW GET FOUR FOR THE PRICE OF TWO.” The chubby man kept shouting.

Both of them stared at the meat with big chunks and the shredded purple, green, and red stuff filled inside something white. They saw other citizens eating it directly, along with the meat inside the white thingy, which contained all the shredded ingredients. The man was putting something of a light red color inside the white thing and pressed it together, which made both of them drool.

“MEH!” Rieven shouted and pulled out the money from her pants.

“That will get you four Khabab with bread.”

    “Killeh, Ki, Killeh!”

“Yes, The meat is imported directly from the south of Sweden and some parts of Germany. We have killed the animal if that was your question. You have to pay upfront!” The chubby guy said.

Rieven looked left and right and waved her hands to the chubby man, who leaned forward to listen to what she was going to tell him. She slowly put his cheek down as his mouth got open, and she put the money inside his mouth and then closed it as he looked at her in a shocked state. Both Rieven and Killeh made a fistbump in the air as they had successfully learned the skill of trading food and paper. The chubby man backed away, opened his mouth, and took out the money. Chubby had gotten used to meeting idiots but had never encountered a short demon and a blue-haired girl who put money inside someone’s mouth when paying. He didn’t want to keep thinking about it as more customers were waiting in line, so he prepared the food to get them away from his stand.

Killeh picked up a faint scent, one that reminded him of their master. The chubby man gave them four Khabab with bread as Killeh more or less chewed each one within a minute. Rieven had problems chugging it down as her throat was not as flexible as when she was a dragon. For some reason, every time she took a breath, small blue balls of fire shot inside the Khabab, causing all the ingredients to cook again.

When they had finished eating, they began to move to the side of the road, heading towards the large building, and Killeh kept sniffing to see if the scent would still be there or if it would disappear. After walking for a while, they arrived at the building’s entrance. It was glass-covered on the first floor, and they could see inside. They tried to walk inside, but the glass stopped them.

    “Killeh!”

    “Meh!”

Several women, dressed in the same kind of suit as their master, gathered around, staring at the two outside who tried to walk through the glass. The reason why so many of them gathered around was that they noticed Rieven’s aura, which was large. The girl with the aura did not exhibit any aggression, which is why they were only on standby and prepared in case something happened.

Rieven and Killeh noticed many suits inside, but it didn’t look like they were going to let them in. They walked away a couple of meters, and Rieven released the chain, rolling it around Killeh’s body and lifting him.

    “Meh!”

“Kill,” Killeh responded as she threw him towards the glass. It shattered, and she quickly moved inside, pulling the chain towards her as it got loose from Killeh and rolled around her wrist.

Killeh had broken a table by the sofas with his fall, and he picked up two legs of the table and quickly moved beside Rieven as he could feel their master’s scent had gotten stronger now. Several Witches gathered around them in a circle, prepared to fight. Both of them could sense the aura from the witches, who viewed them as a threat, and they knew they wouldn’t let them pass through this area. What made Rieven curious was that all of them had different hair colors. Did this mean that there was some ranking between them?

“Meh!” She told them as one of the Witches leaped towards her, and Rieven, with a weak down kick, had the Witch plunge head first on the floor.

One of the Witches flew up a couple of meters as Rieven threw the chain at her. It grabbed her feet, and when several of them were jumping towards both of them, she pulled the chain towards herself, hitting the Witch on her comrades. In the same movement, Killeh jumped up on Rievens shoulder when she pulled the chain toward herself, and he flew over the first gang of Witches. He slid on the floor, hitting two Witches on their knees as they fell on the floor. Losing one of the sticks, he moved quickly and low on all four and threw himself against the leg of a Witch, pushing his whole body towards her knee so she fell on the ground, hitting her nose first as blood splattered all over the floor. Two Witches got up from the ground quickly, but Rieven made a heavy round kick, so both of them passed out from the hit and hit the floor. Several Witches were moving slowly on the floor with little blood here and there. They moved quickly towards the reception, and Killeh jumped up on it and grabbed a young girl’s tie, pulling her against himself.

“KILLEH!” He screamed close-up towards her face while she pushed the silent emergency button under the table.

“W-W-W-Who is it you are looking for?” The girl asked.

“MEH!” Rieven responded, angry that they had been attacked without any proper reason, simply because they had tried to go through the glass.

The girl pointed toward the elevator, and both of them stared at it for a moment before Killeh released his grip on the tie. They moved toward the elevator and looked at the two doors closed shut.

“Y-Y-YOU NEED TO PRESS THE BUTTON FOR THE ELEVATOR!” The girl shouted and pointed towards the elevator button.

Killeh kept hitting it with his stick until a light started to shine on the button. They did not have to wait for long until a sound came from the elevator. Five women with black hair and costumes were standing inside and opened up a little bit of space for them. Killeh climbed up on Rieven’s shoulder to prepare for an aerial attack, but the five ladies didn’t move. Rieven took one step into the elevator just as the door was about to close, and it surprised her as the doors moved back and forth. In the end, she decided to enter the small space, and she didn’t feel threatened by the five women in the elevator. They may have been the kind type, like their master. The elevator began to move upward, and Rieven tried to balance herself, as she had not experienced this type of gravity before. After a couple of seconds, the elevator suddenly abruptly stopped with a red lamp on one of the buttons, and both of them could suddenly feel the tension in the air as it had changed, and the aura from the woman was not the same as both knew that they would have to fight in this small space.

  • Chapter 40: The Way Of The Pupil!

This entry is part 40 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

Blood splattered on and around the lady, in different colors, as she watched the girl and the little Demon slaughter them. The gang was money collectors who illegally threatened weak citizens around the area. More splatter hit her face as she stared at the red one ripping apart half the head of one of them and walking up to her, offering half the head as a feast. She shook her head in denial, and the little red one just shrugged its shoulder and tasted the brain before spitting it out. She was in shock at these two, from whom she couldn’t feel any darkness, suddenly turned from nice to evil in a second. Thankful she was, as the gang had beaten her for several months and ravaged her home for the currency of Randid, which was money used in Paladin Woods.

After what lasted ages for the lady, but just in a moment, she noticed the Demon and the girl were all covered in blood.

Rieven got a new T-shirt and shorter yoga pants that reached the knees. She squatted several times and noticed the flexibility in the pants. The only thing she was worried about was that she only did one kick towards the head of one of the gang members, and the head flew off the body; she knew that she must be careful not to use too much power when kicking.

“Thank you for your help. Here you have some Randid as help.” The lady said, made movements, and opened her mouth with her hand, showing that she was eating something.

Rieven would put the Randid in her mouth before the lady opened her mouth, took out the Randid, grabbed an apple, and showed how to trade the money. Both watched the lady in awe when the apple went back and forth in the air. She put the Randid inside the yoga pants so they would not drop it.

Killeh smelled something in the air and pointed toward where the gang had come from earlier.

“That is the direction to market and the Van Polan organization’s quarter. It is the first town here in Paladin. If you continue and pass it, you will come to several villages and towns, and it will continue to the 10th town, but it is forbidden to pass the 9th town, as unknown creatures rest in the area of the 10th town. The direction you came from is Stockholm City; it is the human world, and nobody is allowed in that area. The Van Polan organization will hunt down creatures that break Paladin’s rules, and the witches show no fear no matter who crosses the lines.”

Rieven and Killeh just nodded because she was talking too fast and too long for them to understand exactly what she meant. The lady waved them closer as she wanted to tell them a secret.

“I have heard the Van Polan organization has five male private investigators. Interestingly, the oldest one, which some think is Veronica Van Polan’s lover, but it is just a rumor. My friends and I think that the oldest Male has a forgotten lover and even a child. Still, nobody has confirmed this, and he will move outside of Paladin with Veronica’s son, which raises suspicions about them being lovers as the child has no resemblance to the oldest Male.” She whispered to both of them as they looked at her with open mouths.

It was not because of the rumor itself; it was because the lady talked without stopping for too long for them even to know what she wanted to say, and she whispered, which confused both of them.

“Ki!” Killeh commented, pointing to the woods as he felt overwhelmed by the woman.

“Oh! Yes! Be on your way. Just follow the road for three hours, and you will end up outside the first town, but be careful.” The lady told them and started to wave.

Killeh responded with a fistbump in the air, and Rieven decided to replicate what he did as they moved on to a road. They noticed how sturdy the ground was, like a royal road or something, as they had not seen this clean surface before.

After walking for an hour, they heard something in the bushes as a deer jumped out on the road and disappeared to the other side of the woods. A white-haired woman was breathing heavily, coming out with a shotgun and shooting after the deer. Rieven thought it was something like the master, but when the woman turned to them with a white shirt, the same type of blazer as their master had, but a different color in grey, with the same pants as their master but also grey. Long brown boots on her feet, and they just stared at the woman who was sweating furiously. Rieven looked down at her chest and noticed the woman had a much bigger chest size than she did. Killeh moved three steps forward and saw the shirt was thin, so something in black under it did not show the alarm bells clearly. He thought for himself if this was…THE UPGRADED VERSION OF ALARM BELLS he has seen so far. Three other women ran out from the woods, and the grey woman, who looked like the leader, walked towards both of them. The three in the back had black costumes with white shirts, and Rieven was in awe of their clothes because they looked the same as their master had.

    “Meh!”

The white-haired woman was surprised by Rievens comment as it was not a greeting.

“Hi! My name is Veronica,” she said, reaching for a handshake.

Rieven didn’t understand why Veronica put her hand forward, but Killeh knew precisely what to do. He put one of the sticks that he had found on the road in her hand and looked with a serious look at her and then made a fistbump in the air as of respect that she wanted to carry some of his weapons. Veronicas looked surprised, not knowing what was happening right now, but she tried to act friendly as she was the president of a big organization, and maybe these two recognized her.

“Sorry! I am so sweaty! I am hunting for a real animal to cook dinner for the boys at home. I am sorry if I startled both of you!” She said, with both of them just staring at her. Killeh was staring at the alarm bells and couldn’t decide if she should test it or if it was too risky, as he could not smell fear in any of them. When Veronica looked down temporarily, she noticed Rieven was barefoot.

“Marsha! I have boots on me, can you give your shoes to the girl? She is walking completely barefoot.” Veronica said.

All three guards around Veronica looked down on Rievens both feet, and one of them took off her training shoes made by the company Flamidas. It felt completely different when they put the training shoes on Rieven’s feet.

“Now you can walk faster!” Veronica said with a smile on her face.

“Well, I suppose you are on your way to town. Just continue for 20 minutes, then the road will turn right, then continue for 10 minutes, and the road will turn left, and you will end up on the main road at the beginning of the town.” Veronica explained, but it was obvious Rieven and Killeh didn’t understand anything.

“Meh!” Rieven said, and they started to walk away from the witches.

They were waving to Rieven and Killeh while they were walking away.

“Lady Veronica! Why did you not disarm the girl? Her aura made all three of us worried that an all-out battle would occur.” Marsha commented while Veronica was still smiling and waving to the two.

“I do not know if the girl was stronger than me, but I could not feel that she was any threat, and her right hand moved several times in front of the red Demon by her side. It was a sign of protection if an attack would come. That is the reason why nothing happened. She only wanted to keep the Demon safe and did not want to start a battle. Sometimes, it is better not to ask or be hostile. I mean, what is the worst these two can do?” Veronica responded and kept smiling.

    2 hours later…

Fanny was tired of all the paperwork Berk had created for her. Every time he goes on an assignment, he does not fill out the proper details of the report. How can he be so sloppy and disrespectful to Veronica when writing these reports?

Fanny was tired of reading his reports as the last one when he was going to catch a creature in the underground fighting in Paladin, he only wrote, ‘It got fucked up, it was tall though,’ in the report. Fanny didn’t want to think more of this and decided to go and enjoy a strawberry donut in the rest area. She moved there and grasped her neck, tired from sitting in the same position for a long time in front of the desk.

When she came into the rest area, it was completely quiet. She took a deep breath as it was time to refresh herself and enjoy a couple of minutes of relaxation. Two donuts were perfect as an afternoon snack, and she put them on a napkin and placed them on the table close to the beautiful view of Paladin. The drinking machine was working on her excellent green-flavored tea, and she smelled all the harmony that the tea was offering her. She moved quickly to the table, drank the green tea, and uttered a short but effective ‘EHH’ sound. Fanny took a big bite from the donut with the strawberry gushing out, and she tried to use her tongue not to let any single drop of strawberry sauce inside the donut fall on the napkin. A crash sounded in the air, and Fanny spilled some of the sauce on her white shirt and tried to remove it with the napkin, but the red color just made it worse, and two buttons popped from her white shirt when she pushed her chest out. She was frustrated, and when she looked to her right, something crashed through the window right into her, so she fell to the ground. A man with a chain around his arm slowly got up, and she noticed it was Berk. He looked at her and said:

“It looks like you are okay, Fanny! By the way, some sauce is on its way between your chest. Just as a extra moment between us, I didn’t know you had that big jugs. Are you competing against Veronica?” Berk asked with a smile.

Fanny, overwhelmed over being unable to have a moment for herself in peace, gets really angry about the disturbance the Van Polan boys have created again.

“I AM GOING TO KILL YOU BERK VAN POLAN!” She screamed out in the air.

  • Chapter 39: I Have A Plan!

This entry is part 39 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

We hid behind the wall in the staircase area, I peeped out quickly to check, and noticed Miel flapping her wings in the air, moving her body slowly 360 degrees to check if we would try to sneak past her. Now I know what to do. We must try to make her tired, wait for her to rest, run for our motherland, Paladin Woods, and get out of here.

    “I have a plan, Killeh!”

He looked up at my face, and for the first time, I wondered if he understood what I was saying.

“Look! She is flapping her wings and will get tired.” “Kill.” He nodded, “You need to run on the left side where the gap is smaller!” “Kill.” Nodding, “You jump over to the other side. “K…ell” Nodding, “I come right behind you and throw the egg to the other side “Killhehe” Nodding and smiling “You grab the egg and start running” “Killha” He nodded after the last comment and I moved away from the wall and pointed gave obvious signs to him with my left hand.

“Left…Okay…Left!” I uttered, and he just kept nodding.

We are so going to die.

I sneaked behind the wall again quickly, as Miel had her back towards us.

“OH QUEEN! MY QUEEN, I SEE YOU ARE WEAK WITH NO FLAMES.” I yelled out in the air, and fire blew through the staircase to the downstairs level.

Oh…Damn! The rocks are melting, WHAT!.

We need to get her down on the ground quickly before she starts firing on the wall only.

“Oh! I WILL HAVE A FEAST AND CRACK THE EGG OPEN WHEN I RETURN, AND THE QUEEN CAN NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!”

She must have used everything she had as the staircase melted down, and I peeked to check where she was and noticed she slowly started to descend to the ground. Grabbed the egg, and Killeh moved out and ran to the right ‘Got damn it!’ and easily jumped over the bigger gap. I kept going to the left and threw the egg to the other side while Killeh grabbed the egg and started to run for his life to the stairs on the other side. He stopped and stared at me with a smile and fistbumped the air.

“STOP MAKING A FREAKING FIST BUMP AND KEEP RUNNING IDIOT!” I screamed at him, and he kept moving up.

I took a few steps back, took a deep breath, and ran to the edge and jumped while the chain loosened itself from my wrist and circled the Pillar as I completely missed and I was hanging on the side of the Pillar in the air looking down at Miel who reacted on noise I just made.

    “Ah, Shit!”

I tried to turn my body, climbed up a bit, and looked down. It was getting hotter here when Miel suddenly loaded in what looked like a big flame, as if her mouth was creating a big ball. She fired as I tried moving to the edge and grabbed it while a big flame passed on my right side and kept burning upwards for a couple of seconds. I moved up as my back pain felt like it was getting worse. I ran as fast as I could while hearing that Miel was ascending. I took large steps when I reached the next level and saw Killeh entering the portal with the egg, and even if I had a lot of pain, no pain, no gain for God’s sake, as I moved on the left side and saw Miel’s head popping up and and she was loading. I threw the chain on the ceiling as the pathway behind me was burning hot, and I dragged myself on the ground, sliding a little bit, and came up in the air, flying right into the portal.

    Other Side Of The Portal…

A girl flew through the portal, landing on the grass, rolling. A smaller creature followed her, with a strange red color, and the last object was a chain that landed on the grass. Both looked confused about what was happening. The girl noticed her skin was not the same, and she put her hands up, seeing that it was five fingers on the hand like her master had. The red creature got up from the ground and was confused. The red one did not recognize the girl; he only knew the master wore black clothes. This girl had no clothes, and the creature looked intensely toward the bush on the girl’s body, as if it were a new smell. It lost its focus when the girl bent towards it like she was taking a closer look. Two big things in a round shape were dangling left and right, making the creature’s eyes follow them. The creature wondered what kind of sound they would make. It looked like the bells it had seen in Hell so often to set off when enemies got closer. The red one grabbed one of the round bells and pressed it, with the girl screaming out in the air. It got scared shitless and hid behind a tree and peeked at the girl. The girl’s curious expression had changed as she looked sad now, and she kept uttering:

    “MEH! MEH! MEH!”

The read creature appeared behind the tree and looked at Rieven’s changed body.

“Killeh!” He commented and ran to Rieven, diving his head into the bells.

After a moment of reunion, both kept hitting the portal as if it were just shining purple. Still, it was impossible to enter it as an invisible wall blocking anyone from entering it.

“Mehen!” Rieven commented, looking down at Killeh.

Killeh started to smell the air as he noticed they were not in Hell anymore, and there was activity not far away from their spot. Rieven picked up the chain and rolled it around her wrist as they walked toward where Killeh pointed.

After a while, they saw a cabin, an older woman was hanging up clothes for drying, and Killeh looked up at Rieven and made hand movements. He tried explaining that they should try to grab the clothes as their master has, a lot of the pointing was towards the clothes hanging. They tried to be sneaky and moved slowly to wait for the woman to disappear.

“I sense a demon, a smaller one. Strangely, the woman’s smell is different. It is a new smell for me. Show yourselves both of you?” The woman spoke up, staring in their direction.

Both of them realized that hiding was not their best attribute in life, and they showed themselves for the woman who was smiling at them.

When the woman noticed that Rieven was completely naked, she rushed and covered her with a blanket. The lady moved them to the terrace and handed a pair of short yoga pants and a white t-shirt with some text over it.

“These were my daughter’s; she is no longer there, but you can wear them.” She said, smiling at Rieven. She patted her head, which had two big blue horns, and the woman noticed now why the smell was different.

“Now I know why you look like a Paladian citizen. You have the royal blood of a Dragon and have bonded with someone else instead of your mother. It is my first time seeing a dragon with royal blood bond with a citizen.” The woman explained.

She put apples in front of them and Killeh attacked the wooden bowl like he was going out on a war. Rieven smacked him on the head and showed with her hands how their master grabs things. The woman laughed out loud at their behavior.

On the field, several citizens from Paladin approached the cabin, and the woman got stressed and went up to greet them. Rieven and Killeh, with apples in their mouth, with a smell gushing out from the citizens as they were approaching. Both their eyes were monitoring each step of the citizens when the one in the front suddenly raised its hand and slapped the woman with force. Both of them stood up as their expressions changed. Rieven walked down the terrace, and Killeh quickly entered the cabin and came out holding butter knives.

    “Meh!”

    “Killeh!”

Both sprinted towards the gang with one thing in mind: protecting the weak, as it was their master’s beliefs.

  • Chapter 38: Wind Punch & A Mother Dragons Cry!

This entry is part 38 of 47 in the series Zark Van Polan And The Creatures Of Darkness

I need to be more tactical, damn it! I wish Taz were here as he is the brain and can escape slick situations.

“DO YOU GIVE UP!” Sterk yelled.

I hope the last lesson in the training will be to beat his ass that damn bastard child.

I moved forward again, and Sticky attacked this time with two jabs as I dodged them and then made a left kick, hitting my face as I backed off again. I organized myself, ready to attack again, but something is wrong here. Sticky is using my movements to fight against me.

    “DID YOU NOTICE!” Sterk yelled.

If I put my mind on attacking Sterk, maybe I will pass Sticky on pure willpower, that can work…or not. If Sticky copies my style, it will not know all my fighting styles. I started jumping back and forth like a boxer, lifting my arms in position like a real boxing match. Sticky looked confused and tried replicating the jumping, but failed. I moved forward slowly and moved my upper body back and forth as Sticky had problems following the quick movements. When I came close, it jumped and went down with a downkick. I quickly jumped back, took two steps forward, and hit the head with my right fist, still in a boxer’s position, protecting my head. Sticky’s head was burning, and it hit it several times to put out the black flames. Sticky made a strange movement, prepared for a new round. I moved back and forth, approaching and trying a low kick from the left, which dodged easily. I followed it up with a left hook hitting it again, and it had a strong defence as it only backed a few steps back. There was still too far away from the line. I needed to knock it down somehow.

“YOU NEED TO CONTROL YOUR BREATHING ZARK!” The idiot was yelling.

I took deep breaths and was in total focus mode. Sticky started, and I switched from boxing to a more relaxed mode, and I managed to dodge a right kick barely and followed it up with my right fist and hit it right on the chest as it flew a couple of meters back, and Sticky was now on black flames rolling around putting out the fire on the grass.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING? ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL THE CHAIN!” Sterk yelled as I ignored the bastard and tried to run forward when a kick on my left knee took me down on the grass, and Sticky had gone up in an instant with still a burning arm, and it looked at me before a hard hit made me roll away. That hurt; the chain did not decide to go easy on me when it noticed that I had gone all in on it.

“ARE YOU IDIOT, FOCUS ON THE FOCAL POINT. YOU WILL NEVER DEFEAT IT OTHERWISE.”

Easy for you to say damn brat, it is not like I had any training on this. It is easy to talk about something rather than doing it. I went up from the ground as Sticky took several steps forward, preparing for the next round.

“Chain! Who are you to judge me? I am going to protect everyone. I am going to win!” I spoke to Sticky.

I walked up close to Sticky as we prepared to fight again. I am going to show that it has not learned all my skills. I took a sideways position, lifted my right arm, and bent my body slightly. It was a weird position, but it is effective. Closed my eyes and only tried to feel and listen to any movement it would make. I felt two steps forward when, suddenly, the left leg got raised from the ground, and I opened my eyes, hitting the left leg down on the ground as Sticky leaned forward a bit and I pointed my right hand, touching the middle finger on the chest. I opened my eyes with my right hand, turning into a fist, and a strong wind blew by me from behind, and I hit Sticky on the chest with a powerful punch as it flew right into the cabin crashing it down on the ground. I quickly moved past the line and looked at the cabin for Sticky to come out. I felt something circling my wrist and noticed the chain was back again.

“Good Job!” Sterk uttered before everything around me disappeared like a puzzle bit torn off and it was white all around me.

Shit, did I do something wrong?

Suddenly, a screeching sound echoed, and I woke up. I still took deep breaths. Did I stay strong from the training?

I went up and felt the pain on my back and left side of the stomach in an instant. For one moment, I thought I was in a power-up mode, or the elixir would have made me super-powered after that punch. That would be nice.

Killeh was drooling over the egg. We need to check the egg to see how sturdy it is. I lifted it and dropped it, well, it didn’t crack. Maybe we can fool Miel as we are two. Okay, this is a bad idea, but better than nothing.

“Killeh! You need to drag the egg with you as I lure the attention away from you!”

“Killhe!” He responded, which didn’t make any sense to me, as to what it wanted to say.

Either it wants to kill everyone, or I may have to think about the tone in what it means.

I put the chain around Killeh’s waist and put it around the egg. With my hands in the air, I moved towards the open space and yelled out.

“I AM HERE MIEL! I HAVE MY HANDS IN THE AIR!”

I moved directly to the right slowly as Miel turned her head in my direction when I slowly walked like I had given up, as Miel’s throat looked like extra nostrils started to move quickly, making me a little bit nervous that an attack could come any moment.

“Where is my baby disgusting human?” She asked.

I noticed Killeh peeping, and he started to move with the egg dragging behind him, with a lot of noise, so I had to improvise:

“OH HOLY RED DRAGON QUEEN! MY BEAUTIFUL QUEEN OF THE RED DRAGON CLAN.” I yelled in the air to dampen the noise from the egg on the other side.

Killeh looked like he noticed that I tried to keep the attention on me, he picked up the egg and put his mouth around it, drooling all over it while tiptoeing towards the stairs on the other side. That damn Killeh, I will kill him for real if he cracks the egg.

I moved slowly as Miel followed each step I took to the side, trying to get closer to the stairs. I noticed Killeh had reached the stairs, looking back at me with the top of the egg wet in drool. Killeh made a punch sign, or maybe it was meant to be a thumbs-up sign. Why do these kinds of things surround me in my life?

I tried to look at how far it was, and there were two pillars for protection if Miel decided to fire, but I was not sure I would make it to the stairs before then. I will be in so much pain in a moment, but simple running won’t help it, as it looks like she looks more agitated than before. We both looked at each other, and then I started to run and noticed the path behind me crumbled down as Miel used her body to make the whole pathway fall. I swung the chain against the second Pillar when she flamed the pathway behind me. I took two steps before jumping after passing the Pillar right at Miels direction with the chain pulling me back, but I hit Miel my mistake and hit the pathway and ran for my freaking life. I managed to get up the first stairs, and when I was going to step onto the second stair, the whole staircase beneath was in flames.

Killeh was waiting by the stairs with the egg, confusing me as to why he hadn’t moved to the other floor. My adrenaline was spiking as I didn’t feel the pain so much. Killeh was pointing to the pathway, and I went up to have a check before Miel disturbed the peace. I noticed both pathways had a big hole, making passing hard. Wait a minute! Killeh is supposed to be a great jumper. I looked down at him with a why did you stop look.

“Are you not supposed to be a great jumper? Why didn’t you jump over the hole? I asked.

Killeh pointed on the egg as an explanation why he didn’t jump.

Miel came up, and the Dragon’s scream echoed everywhere as I held my hands over my ears. I couldn’t take it when the mother was crying out for her baby.
